Building on its recent milestones in cardiac electrophysiology, Sri Sri Holistic Hospitals (SSHH) today announced the launch of its Dedicated Atrial Fibrillation (AF) Center of Excellence, bringing together advanced technology, global expertise, and comprehensive patient care for the management of complex heart rhythm disorders.
The launch follows the successful introduction of Pulsed Field Ablation (PFA) technology for the first time in India at Sri Sri Holistic Hospitals and the subsequent successful treatment of patients using advanced 3D mapping-guided electrophysiology procedures, marking significant advancements in the treatment of Atrial Fibrillation (AF) in the country.
The AF Center of Excellence aims to provide a comprehensive platform for the diagnosis, treatment, and long-term management of heart rhythm disorders through advanced electrophysiology services, precision-guided interventions, standalone minimally invasive AF surgeries & a dedicated life style Center to Reverse Contributing & associated diseases multidisciplinary expertise, and patient-focused care.
The announcement was made in the presence of Dr. Dhanunjaya Lakkireddy, President, Kansas City Heart Rhythm Institute (USA), Prof. Dr. V. S. Ramchandra, Chairman, Sri Sri Holistic Hospitals, Chief Cardiologist & Electrophysiologist, and the hospital’s Cardiac Sciences team, including Prof. Dr. Biju Govind, Dr. Shiva Kumar Reddy, Senior Consultant Interventional Cardiologist; Dr. Bharani Velam, Consultant Cardiologist & Electrophysiologist; and Dr. Prakash Nanjaiah, Chief Cardiothoracic & Arrhythmia Surgeon.
A special highlight of the event was the interaction with patients who successfully underwent the first CARTO-guided PFA AF Treatment in the Country on the 12th of this month, these breakthrough AF treatment procedures.
