Why Satish Shah, a veteran actor, is doing fewer roles these days

Satish Shah, a Bollywood actor who was previously regarded as one of the greatest comedy performers in Hindi film and television, hasn't been on screen in a very long time. Satish Shah's brand of humor is distinct, and his method of delivering lines was much praised, leaving audiences in stitches. With the satirical comedy Jaane Bhi do Yaaron in 1983, Satish Shah gained instant fame. He subsequently began watching television, starting with the comedies Filmi Chakkar and Yeh Jo Hai Zindagi. His most popular professional performance was in Sarabhai vs. Sarabhai, when his affectionate satire of his on-screen wife Ratna Pathak was well received. But he also contributed to the films Main Hoon Na, Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani, Kal Ho na Ho, Om Shanti Om, and Humshakals.
However, Satish Shah has said that he prefers doing humor on television over acting in movies. He said in an interview that he doesn't work only for the money and only takes on assignments that he believes would inspire him. According to rumors, Satish Shah wasn't happy with his performance in the Sajid Khan-helmed Humshakals. Even many people praised his portrayal in Humshakals, he said that the movie fell short of expectations. He is said to have ended his acting career due to his displeasure with the film's dated and cheap humor.
When Humshakals was published in 2014, it received harsh criticism from reviewers as well as moviegoers. The humor was seen as outdated and sexist. Even the star Saif Ali Khan subsequently said that his involvement in the film was a mistake and a betrayal of his fans. At the box office, Humshakalas was a complete failure.
Additionally, Satish Shah has said that he no longer watches comedy programs on television because he has become tired of the same formula being used over and again.
