The number of new cases brings the total number of infections in the national capital to 20,36,196, while the death toll has increased to 26,613.
Covid was not the major cause of death in three of the seven deaths, while infection was only discovered incidentally in two other cases. The agency said that it is awaiting full case records for the two more deaths from the hospitals.
There are now 4,708 active cases in the capital. 3,384 people are being held in home isolation out of the total, it added.

With a positive rate of 26.75, the city reported three deaths and 1,603 new caseload additions on Thursday. Six fatalities and 1,757 new cases were recorded on April 19 with a positive rate of 28.63.
On April 18, 1,537 cases were reported in the nation's capital, with a 26.54 percent positive rate. Delhi reported 1,017 cases on April 17 with a positive rate of 32.25, which was a record high for more than 15 months.
On January 14 of last year, the nation's capital had a positivity rating of 30.6.
On January 16, the number of COVID-19 cases reached zero for the first time since the pandemic's start. However, during the last month, there has been an increase in new cases in the city. To assess the readiness of Delhi hospitals to combat COVID-19, simulated exercises were held on April 11.
According to medical professionals, the Omicron sub-variant XBB.1.16 may be the cause of the city's recent spike in cases. They have stressed that there is no need to worry and that individuals should act in a Covid-appropriate manner and get their booster injections.
