The Kerala Story exposed “poisonous terrorism,” according to JP Nadda, national head of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), who also claimed that there is a new kind of terrorism that lacks weapons.
On Sunday, Nadda attended a special showing of the film at the Garuda Mall in Bengaluru, where he is also doing party-related campaigning for the forthcoming Assembly elections. Nadda said this to reporters: “'Kerala Story' reveals that toxic terrorism. There is a new kind of terrorism that is without weapons. No nation or religion is associated with this kind of terrorism.
Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi claimed that the film “The Kerala Story” is based on a terror plot while speaking to a crowd in the close-to-election state of Karnataka.
The film “The Kerala Story,” according to the prime minister, “exposes the terrorists' design” and “shows the ugly truth of terrorism.” He then clarified that the movie is based on a terror plot.
“The Kerala Story's” plot was inspired on a terrorist plot. It exposes the attackers' strategy and reveals the grim reality of terrorism, the PM remarked.
He also criticised the Congress party, claiming that they had protected terrorists in order to gain support.
“Congress is rejecting the terrorism-themed movie and supporting terrorist inclinations. For political reasons, Congress has harboured terrorists, according to PM Modi.
In a previous statement, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said that the film was purposefully designed to incite hatred and divisiveness among communities and to portray Kerala negatively.
Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the chief minister of Madhya Pradesh, said that the recently released film, “The Kerala Story,” has been rendered tax-free in the state because it “exposes the conspiracy of love Jihad, religious conversion, and terrorism.”
The movie, directed by Sudipto Sen and produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah, has caused a significant political controversy, with several figures responding to the planned film.
Adah Sharma, Yogita Bihani, Siddhi Idnani, and Sonia Balani play the key characters in “The Kerala Story.” Sen's movie “The Kerala Story” received criticism for its trailer, which said that 32,000 state residents went missing before joining ISIS.
After receiving criticism, the film's creators removed the figure and changed the description of the trailer to read, “The story of three women from Kerala.”
