Runner-up If Nice defeats Toulouse at home on Sunday, it can maintain the one-point lead.

Goalie Gianluigi Donnarumma’s error allowed Monaco to equalize four minutes after attacker Gonçalo Ramos gave PSG the lead in the eighteenth minute.

Under duress from Folarin Balogun of Monaco, he hesitated and sent the ball directly to Takumi Minamino of Japan, who finished with confidence for his fourth league goal of the year.

When defender Soungoutou Magassa attempted to clear the ball and clipped winger Ousmane Dembélé’s leg for a penalty, PSG took the lead again via Mbappé in the 39th minute. Mbappé, who paid 180 million euros ($197 million) to join PSG from Monaco in 2017, struck the upper left corner of the goal with his penalty shot.

In the seventy-first minute, Dembélé made it 3-1 with a thunderous shot after well handling a long cross from midfielder Fabian Ruiz. It was his first goal for PSG since he left Barcelona in August.

After two minutes, Mbappé found Portugal’s Vitinha, a midfield player, and the striker curled a beautiful shot into the upper right corner.

However, PSG’s defense slept off shortly after that goal, allowing Balogun to score with a low shot after Minamino pushed him through. The American forward’s goal was his fourth in the league this year.

After losing its third game of the season, Monaco dropped to six points behind PSG. However, there was still time for France striker Randal Kolo Muani to score PSG’s fifth goal in the sixth minute of stoppage time.
