Serum Institute leads among unlisted companies, although RIL remains the most valuable: Research

<p>The ‘2023 Burgundy Private Hurun India 500’ ranking of the 500 most valuable firms in India places Serum Institute of India at the top of the list of the most valuable unlisted companies in the nation, followed by the National Stock Exchange of India and Megha Engineering & Infrastructure.</p>

<p>Other names on the list include Dream11, Parle, Zerodha, Intas Pharmaceuticals, Swiggy, and Zoho Corporation.</p>
<p>With a valuation of Rs 15,64,663 crore, Reliance Industries maintains its position as the top company on the Burgundy Private Hurun India 500 for the third consecutive year. At least Rs 3 lakh crore separates Reliance Industries from TCS, which comes in second place on the list with Rs 12.4 trillion, and HDFC Bank, which comes in at Rs 11.3 trillion.</p>
<p>Through the merging of HDFC Ltd. and HDFC Bank, HDFC Bank was able to achieve Rs. 10 trillion in value, making it the third Indian corporation to do so. Kotak Mahindra Bank and HCL Technologies are back in the top 10.</p>
<p>Suzlon Energy topped the list of the fastest growing firms in 2023 with a growth rate of 436 percent, followed by Jindal Stainless and JSW Infrastructure. The largest gainers in terms of absolute value were ITC, Larsen & Toubro, and HDFC Bank.</p>
<p>Jio Financial Services, which separated from Reliance Industries, came in at number 28.</p>
<p>The industries with the highest number of firms on the list were Financial Services (76) and Healthcare (58), closely followed by Consumer Goods (38).</p>
<p>The sector that creates the most value this year is the services sector. led by Info Edge (India), which increased by 4.5% and is ranked 88th.</p>
<p>This century has seen the founding of 153 firms, 52 of which are under ten years old. GlobalBees, Mensa Brands, Zepto, Motherson Sumi Wiring India, Apna, and CRED are among the leading enterprises in this regard.</p>
<p>The Adani Group firms’ value fell by 50%, or Rs 9,92,953 crore, over the study period.</p>
<p>In order to be eligible for the “2023 Burgundy Private Hurun India 500” list, a company must be valued at least Rs 6,700 crore, or USD 807 million. The firms in the Burgundy Private Hurun India 500 are 38 years old on average.</p>
<p>The 2023 Burgundy Private Hurun India 500 firms are valued at a total of Rs 231 trillion.</p>
