A special CBI court in Mumbai will deliver its decision today about the actress Jiah Khan's death. On June 3, 2013, the actress, who appeared in films including Housefull, Ghajini, and Nishabd, was discovered dead in her Mumbai residence. Mumbai Police detained Sooraj Pancholi after a letter purportedly written by Jiah was discovered that detailed her turbulent connection with him.
The actor is seen heading for court, while Sooraj was seen by photographers close to his home.
Sooraj may be seen in the photos wearing a green shirt and pants. The star seemed dejected and avoided interacting with the reporters. His team and his mother Zarina Wahab were seen with him. When they were seen leaving, the media surrounded their car. It's anticipated that the final decision will be made public around 10.30 am. 
Before the decision was made, a member of the Pancholi family spoke with ETimes earlier. The family member said that although everyone in the Pancholi family is hopeful about the outcome, they are also concerned. According to the case's merits, the whole family is in favour, the family member remarked. However, we are also anxiously awaiting the Special CBI Court number 52 verdict, which is scheduled to be announced on April 28.
Sooraj was indicted by the Mumbai Police in 2013 under section 306 (abetment to suicide). Jiah's mother charged him, along with his family, of'mistreating' her daughter while she was still alive. Later, bail was used to release Sooraj. Jiah's mother filed a petition with the Bombay High Court on July 1st, 2013, asking for the investigation to be turned over to the CBI. The matter was turned over to the CBI in 2014.
